Established in 1966, PHC have earned the reputation as a well-regarded organisation providing people with mental health problems and/or mild learning disabilities with a home and services in an innovative, supportive and respectful environment that encourages, empowers and enables them to lead full and independent lives.

We are a Charitable company registered with the Charity Commission governed by a Board of Directors. Our Directors are unpaid volunteers chosen for their commitment, skills and experience relevant to any aspect of the Charity’s work.

The Board of Directors are now keen to develop the organisation further and are beginning to implement a strategy for expansion. To this end we are now looking for new board members help steer us through this exciting period of change and beyond.

The Board currently meet every 2 months but we anticipate that more frequent interaction will be required during this period of organisational change. 

We would love to hear from you if you have availability, enthusiasm for a challenge and skills and experience in any of the following areas

Legal and business acumen

Governance

Personnel / Human Resources / Employment Law

PR, Marketing, Social Media

Fund raising, acquisition of grants

IT (including social media)

Behavioural science

Background in estate/surveying

Healthcare professional (specifically in our orbit)

Knowledge of local council, housing providers

Finance and Treasury
